FLW have looked at the players who are out-of-contract in 11 months' time at Molineux
Wolverhampton Wanderers are now preparing for their first season as a Championship side in eight years, and it has certainly been an intriguing summer at Molineux so far, to say the least.
The Old Gold and Black were, of course, relegated as the Premier League's bottom club last term, having had to wait until January 2nd for the first of only three league victories in 38 games, with Vitor Pereira dismissed in November in place of Rob Edwards.
However, just when it appeared as though the 43-year-old would oversee his first full term as head coach, he was dismissed last month and replaced by the recently appointed Cesar Peixoto, who, last season, guided Gil Vicente to a highly respectable sixth-placed finish in Liga Portugal.
It remains to be seen what the makeup of the 46-year-old's squad will be for the Championship opener against Blackburn Rovers next month. But, regardless, Wolves are already being tipped as one of the pre-season favourites for an immediate return to the top-flight.
Naturally, some high-profile names have become the subject of exit talk, but Football League World have decided to look at the six players who may be looking at a new destination this time next year if circumstances do not change.

Kickstarting this list is the experienced goalkeeper, Jose Sa, who is one of the names at Molineux who has attracted transfer interest after relegation from the Premier League.
The 33-year-old was named as Portugal's deputy shot-stopper for the FIFA World Cup 2026, and has been at the club since 2021 after signing from Olympiacos for £6.25m, featuring 170 times to-date and keeping 40 clean sheets in all competitions.
However, after appearing to be visibly moved by supporters on the final day of last season, the man who signed his last contract extension three years ago has reportedly been eyed by Turkish Süper Lig side, Besiktas, among other suitors.

Another member of Wanderers' goalkeepers union, Dan Bentley, is also out-of-contract next June as things stand, with the 32-year-old penning a three-year contract extension to a pre-existing two-and-a-half year deal in September 2024.
Despite being at Molineux since the summer of 2023, the former Bristol City goalkeeper, who boasts strong Championship experience, has only played 15 times in all competitions for his current employers.
As such, it remains to be seen how often he is utilised by Peixoto, and whether he lasts beyond next summer in WV1 as a result.

Next up is Dutch right-back, Ki-Jana Hoever, who is now competing with former England international, Kieran Trippier, in the right-back position after his free transfer after leaving Newcastle United.
The former Liverpool academy figure penned his most-recent extension two summers ago ahead of a loan spell with AJ Auxerre, and he has also spent time with Stoke City and Sheffield United on a temporary basis during his affiliation with Wolves.
However, it is fair to say that the 24-year-old's form didn't exactly pick up at Bramall Lane after a handful of appearances for Wolves at the start of their relegation season, meaning a permanent fresh start could be in the offing in the near future.
Boubacar Traore has been with Wanderers since the summer of 2022, initially signing on loan from FC Metz, before said deal was turned permanent on a four-year contract in the summer of 2023.
After continuing his positive trajectory in 2023/24, the past two seasons have been particularly tough for the Malian, having suffered a serious meniscus injury in August 2024 which saw him make just one league appearance in 2024/25, before being loaned back to his former employers last term.
However, he could be given a clean slate by Peixoto, which could impact his eventual future given the aforementioned state of play regarding his contract.

22-year-old winger, Tawanda Chirewa is next, having signed his most-recent contract in 2024, before spending time on loan with the likes of Derby County, Huddersfield Town and Barnsley respectively.
The Zimbabwean has made 12 appearances for Wolves at senior level, 10 of which have come in the Premier League, although in the three aforementioned loan stints, he would only make a further 20.
Therefore, it could be a crucial year for the man who scored 11 times in 21 appearances for the club's Under-21s after previously featuring for Ipswich Town.

Rounding off this list is Austrian forward, Sasa Kalajdzic, whose career fortunes have been well-documented, suffering three unfortunate ACL injuries.
He was signed for £15m from VfB Stuttgart on a five-year contract in August 2022 after a respectable two-season stint in front of goal, but now 28, hasn't been able to hit similar heights at Molineux due to varying factors.
However, he returned to form at LASK in his home country on loan last season, scoring seven times and assisting 11 further goals in 27 games, before also netting for Austria at the World Cup against Algeria in a 3-3 draw.
Therefore, this could be a critical season for him more than most on a personal level, especially with Peixoto likely to shuffle what is currently a stacked forward department.
