Not one, but two members of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid picked up fitness complaints during the club’s latest outing.

This comes amid confirmation that Franco Mastantuono joined Kylian Mbappé in departing the pitch whilst struggling with a problem.

Real Madrid were of course back in action on Saturday night, welcoming Villarreal to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash.

The aforementioned Mbappé and Mastantuono, meanwhile, featured from the off in Xabi Alonso’s XI.

En route to an eventual 3-1 triumph, however, both players suffered potential injuries.

The former’s proved the more obvious, with Mbappé having limped from the field of play and straight down the tunnel with an ankle issue.

As confirmed by journalist José Luis Sánchez of El Chiringuito TV, though, Mastantuono was also less than comfortable in making his way to the bench 15 minutes from time:

‘Mastantuono has a minor strain in his hamstring.’
