With four games to go and 12 points to play for, RB Leipzig are away against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday night (18:30 CEST). It's another crucial match in the race for the top four and a place in next season's Champions League.

The fact that we have already beaten the Eagles twice this season will give us real confidence as we head to 'Mainhattan'. Frankfurt are also one of Benjamin Šeško's favourite opponents and Xavi is available again after serving a suspension for five yellow cards. Get ready for a pulsating clash!

Here are the most important facts ahead of #SGERBL.

1. Third meeting in 2024/25

  1. Saturday's matchday 30 fixture will be the third meeting between RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt this season. We won the previous two fixtures, both at the Red Bull Arena, 2-1 in the Bundesliga and 3-0 in the round of 16 of the DFB-Pokal. We are now hoping for a third straight win over the Eagles!

2. Key player available again

  1. Xavi served his yellow-card suspension last weekend against Kiel and is therefore available to face Eintracht Frankfurt. The 22-year-old showed his importance to RBL by scoring twice in the recent 3-2 win in Wolfsburg. Overall in 2025, only Bayern's striker Harry Kane (10 goals, 2 assists) has had a hand in more goals than Xavi (7 goals, 3 assists). Additionally, RBL have picked up 1.8 points per Bundesliga game with Xavi in the starting XI this season, compared to only 1.2 points without him. On our last trip to Deutsche Bank Park, the Dutchman scored from the spot in a 2-2 draw.

3. Šeško's best campaign yet

  1. Benjamin Šeško has been directly involved in 17 goals in the Bundesliga this term (12 goals, 5 assists), already improving on his tally from the whole of last season with four matchdays to spare (16). The 21-year-old striker has enjoyed playing Eintracht Frankfurt so far, scoring three goals in four meetings with them, something he's only also done against VfB Stuttgart and 1. FC Union Berlin. His strike partner Lois Openda has also scored three goals in all competitions against the Eagles, so it's safe to say our forwards know how to find the back of the net against this weekend's opponents.

4. Two players with pace to burn

  1. Frankfurt's Jean-Matteo Bahoya is the quickest player in the Bundesliga this season with a top speed of 37.2 km/h. Our number 11 Lois Openda has been clocked at a high of 36.6 km/h, putting him in the top five of this ranking.

5. Two good counter-attacking teams

  1. Both RBL and Frankfurt are dangerous teams from counter-attacks. We have taken 46 shots from counters, scoring seven goals, compared to 50 shots and 10 goals by Eintracht!
