After beating Genoa on Monday, Lazio will be looking to earn their second victory in a row when they host Torino on Saturday. The clash will take place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, and it kicks off at 15:00 local time.
Prior to the contest, we will take a look at the previous Serie A meetings between the Biancocelesti and the Granata.
Lazio and the Granata have shared the same pitch in Italy’s top flight on 140 previous occasions, and they’re almost tied in terms of results. The capital side prevailed 41 times, only one more than their northern foes, who earned 40 victories. Interestingly, the most frequent result in this fixture is a draw, with the two clubs sharing the spoils on 59 occasions.
In terms of goals, the Aquile have outscored Torino 174 to 165, while Ciro Immobile leads the charts with 10 strikes. This is hardly a surprise, given how the Euro 2020 winner won the Capocannoniere award while representing both clubs (once with Torino and thrice with Lazio).
Lazio have a clear advantage over their opponents in fixtures played in Rome, winning 24 and losing 12. Nevertheless, almost half of their previous fixtures ended in a draw (34 out of 70), which is by far the most recurring result.
