Bild reports that a move to Bayern Munich for RB Leipzig defender Lukas Klostermann is currently unlikely with Leipzig unwilling to sell.
Leipzig are unlikely to allow Klostermann to leave the club this summer as they have already allowed defenders Joško Gvardiol (Manchester City), Marcel Halstenberg (Hannover 96) and Angelino (Galatasaray) to depart this summer.
The defender also has a good relationship with Marco Rose due to his versatility which makes him a good squad player for a position where Leipzig lacks players.
Bayern are also not fully convinced about the defender. There have been discussions about Klostermann within Bayern’s transfer task force but Thomas Tuchel and Uli Hoeneß are not in agreement on whether the 27-year-old fits the desired profile to replace Benjamin Pavard and if he can actually help the team.
Klostermann’s contract at Leipzig expires at the end of the season so it is likely that the club will demand a fee of around €12m for the 27-year-old.
