According to Team Talk, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are monitoring FC Twente’s 18-year-old defender Ruud Nijstad.

Barcelona were initially keen but were reluctant to pay or negotiate Twente’s €10 million asking price, which has opened the door for the Bundesliga trio.

All three clubs are said to have sent scouts to watch Nijstad, with feedback described as highly positive.

Nijstad moved up from the academy to the first team in summer and has made 10 appearances since October.

The left-footed centre-back has impressed with his maturity, composure and decisiveness on the ball.

Premier League sides are also watching, including Manchester City and Chelsea.
