A new winger for Bayern? Here’s what’s behind the Osorio rumor | OneFootball

With just a few days left before the transfer window closes, FC Bayern is putting the finishing touches on its plans. Although sporting director Max Eberl has all but ruled out further signings, the Munich club continues to be linked with interesting players. One of them is Darío Osorio of FC Midtjylland.

Most recently, the Danish website Bold reported that scouts from the German record champions were in Denmark to take a closer look at the 22-year-old winger. This suddenly brought Osorio into the spotlight as a potential last-minute target for Bayern.

However, the interest does not seem to be quite that concrete at this point. As FussballTransfers reports, there is currently no close contact between FC Bayern and the player’s camp.

Bayern apparently has not yet made contact

According to information from FussballTransfers, the Munich club has not yet initiated any talks with Osorio’s representatives. A last-minute transfer of the Chilean international therefore does not appear likely at this time.

Nevertheless, the fact that Bayern is keeping an eye on the attacking player is certainly interesting. Osorio is at home on the right wing and could provide additional options for the offense down the line.

However, a potential transfer is also said to be linked to the future of Arijon Ibrahimovic. Should the 20-year-old leave FC Bayern on loan before the end of the transfer window, the Munich club could find itself in need of another offensive player on short notice.

In this scenario, Osorio is said to be a potential candidate. As long as there’s no movement regarding Ibrahimovic, however, it doesn’t appear that Bayern will make a move for the Chilean anytime soon.

Osorio remains on Bayern’s radar

This development aligns with the record champions’ current transfer strategy. Eberl recently stated that there is a 99 percent chance Bayern will not sign any further new players. At the same time, club officials are monitoring the market until the very end to be able to react to potential changes in the roster.

Scouting Osorio therefore doesn’t necessarily mean that the Munich club is already working on a transfer. Especially with young players, long-term observation is part of standard procedure.

However, the situation could change if Ibrahimovic does indeed leave Bayern. In that case, Osorio would at least be one player on the radar whom the Munich club has already taken a closer look at.

At the moment, however, there are many indications that this will remain merely an expression of interest. Without any contact with the player, a last-minute move to Munich is not currently a concrete possibility.
