FC Bayern could still part ways with some players in the final stretch of the transfer window. One of them is Arijon Ibrahimovic, who—somewhat surprisingly—is now on the list of potential departures. 

This has sparked some discussion recently. The player, in particular, was frustrated because at the start of the summer transfer window, he was promised a spot as backup to Luis Diaz on the left wing.

In recent days, however, Bayern officials have made it clear that, given the composition of the roster and the player’s preparation, it won’t be easy for Ibrahimovic to get playing time—let alone on a regular basis.

Werder in the running for Ibrahimovic

For this reason, a departure seems quite realistic. According to a report by DeichStube, Werder Bremen wants to sign him and has already made preliminary inquiries. Even though talks are already underway, a lot would still have to happen before a potential loan deal for the FC Bayern Munich talent could be finalized.

After all, Ibrahimovic will only really become a serious option for Bremen if another offensive player leaves the club. That’s possible, but as things stand now, it’s not likely, because there are no concrete talks between Werder and any club interested in one of their players.

That’s why we’ll have to wait and see regarding Ibrahimovic for the time being. In addition to Werder, other clubs are also said to be interested, but they have not yet made contact with FC Bayern. However, things could develop quickly between now and Deadline Day on Tuesday, and following the announcement regarding the season, the player himself is likely interested in finding a solution.

In Bremen, the idea of integrating Ibrahimovic into the offense is considered quite exciting. But especially given the financial problems, the conditions have to be right—which isn’t yet the case. Nevertheless, the Ibrahimovic situation remains a hot topic, and a departure continues to be very realistic.
