‘A ray of light’ – Liverpool star Isak hails Barcelona youngster | OneFootball

Liverpool star Alexander Isak has this week moved to lavish praise on a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona.

The player in question? Roony Bardghji.

Youngster Bardghji is for his part fresh off an evening to remember on Friday.

Reward for his high-profile summer move to the aforementioned Barcelona, the 19-year-old was afforded his first-ever appearance for Sweden’s senior national team.

Bardghji was introduced off the bench en route to a 2-0 World Cup qualifying defeat at the hands of Switzerland.

Bardghji proved a livewire for the hosts in what otherwise proved to be an outing to forget.

Speaking to the media in the game’s aftermath, one of the winger’s new teammates at international level therefore moved to reveal his appreciation for Bardghji’s talents.

During a post-match press conference, Liverpool star Alexander Isak explained:

“Roony is a top-level player. I don’t see him as a talent who has a chance; he’s established. He’s where he is for a reason. I think he’s coming in with very good energy. It’s a shame for him that we’re in that situation and that we lost. But for me, I think he was a ray of light for us.”
