A supporter dies during match in England

The Championship clash between Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth was overshadowed by a tragic incident this Saturday.

Shortly after kick-off, the referee halted play due to a medical emergency reported in the stands. Emergency services rushed to assist a Charlton supporter suffering from a serious illness. Although he received immediate attention and was transported to the hospital, the supporter sadly did not survive.

Charlton Athletic are devastated to report that a supporter has passed away following a medical emergency at The Valley today. Everyone at the club sends their heartfelt condolences to the supporter’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. #cafc
