Guadalajara's strong run is not only reflected in Liga MX, as once again, it will serve as the backbone of the Mexico National Team heading into a new FIFA international window, Chivahermanos.

That's right: after leading El Tri at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Rebaño Sagrado once again becomes a cornerstone of the national team, with 7 players called up in Rafael Márquez's first squad as head coach.

The Chivas players selected are: Raúl Rangel, Diego Campillo, Luis Romo, Roberto Alvarado, Santiago Sandoval and Hugo Camberos. Yohan Orozco has also been called up and will take part in training alongside two other players from Mexico's U-20 team.

'Tala' and 'Piojo' will join the Mexico squad on September 21, ahead of the first match against Colombia in Baltimore next Sunday, September 26. Following Matchday 10 of the Apertura 2026, the rest of the Rojiblanco players will join the national team camp.

In addition to Colombia, Mexico will face Peru, the United States and Chile, with all four matches taking place in the United States.
