Aarón Anselmino to join Strasbourg on loan from Chelsea | OneFootball

After the termination of his loan at Borussia Dortmund, Aarón Anselmino (20) is set to join Strasbourg on loan from Chelsea, according to a report from Fabrice Hawkins. The Argentine youth international should now travel to France to complete his temporary switch to the Alsatian outfit. 

The 20-year-old was previously unwilling to join the Ligue 1 club on loan due to him being unhappy with the Premier League club’s decision to recall him from his loan spell at Dortmund. He enjoyed a successful spell with the Bundesliga club, playing regular minutes. The former Boca Juniors centre-back made 10 appearances during his time in Germany. 

Anselmino to replace Sarr at Strasbourg

With Mamadou Sarr set to return to Chelsea following the termination of his loan at Strasbourg, Anselmino is viewed as the Senegalese international’s replacement. The Lyon academy graduate is set to return to London on Monday, at which point the Argentine defender should complete his move to the French club.
