Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has weighed in on the Buccaneers' dominance in Hugo Broos' latest Bafana Bafana squad.

The Belgian mentor called-up nine Bucs players including Sipho Chaine, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Sipho Mbule, Thalente, Mbatha, Masindi Nemtajela, Tshepang Moremi, Evidence Makgopa and Oswin Appollis.

With the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) fast approaching, a host of the Pirates players are expected to form a core part of Broos' squad in Morocco.

Ouaddou expressed excitement at having a plethora of Bafana internationals at his disposal, citing their competitive nature and hunger to reign supreme in every match despite the fixture congestion.

“I'm very excited as a coach to have such good players, fantastic players from the national team. What I can tell you is that they are great competitors, it's guys that want to win every games, they play every three days but you can see that the rhythm, the intensity is always high,” he stated.

"And it proves that they are competitors, so for me I'm proud to be their coach. If I can continue to give them my experience, to improve them to be better and better everyday, not only on the pitch but even outside the pitch if I can make them better players and to help them to be even top people humanly - I think I can be happy.

Out of the Pirates contingent, Nemtajela, who received his maiden call-up, will be itching to make his debut when Bafana face Zambia in an international friendly match at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.
