AC Milan are preparing to face Udinese on Matchday 32 of the Serie A, scheduled for Saturday 11 April at 18:00 CEST at San Siro. Allegri's side are eager to respond after the setback against Napoli, aiming to remain among the league's frontrunners and reinforce their position in what promises to be an important and engaging contest. Ahead of kick-off, here is our Match Preview.
LATEST FROM MILANELLO The Rossoneri are looking to bounce back after dropping points, position and momentum in the title race at the Stadio Maradona. Third place must now be defended, and while second is only two points away, the lead over the others seeking Champions League qualification has now narrowed to six points. In Naples, the Rossoneri were unable to score despite creating chances and delivering an overall committed performance. Reaction, focus, improved efficiency in front of goal and rediscovering attacking efficiency are key themes heading into the evening’s match. Some adjustments to the starting lineup are possible, too. Gabbia returns to the squad after a month-long absence, while Athekame, Fofana, Modrić and Saelemaekers are one booking away from suspension.
"In the final run-in, balance is essential — we’re a few points away from where we want to be, but there’s room to improve,” Allegri said on the eve of the match. “This moment must be faced with calm and clarity. It will be a difficult game against a physical team, so we must stay focused. We’re in good condition and we shouldn’t force things — we need to play with good technique and organisation."
LATEST FROM UDINESE The Friulian side sit comfortably in mid-table. Currently eleventh, they hold a solid margin over the teams below them while remaining well clear of the European positions. Last weekend they held the in-form Como to a 0-0 draw at home, producing a disciplined defensive display. Recent results have been positive, including wins over Genoa (2-0) and Fiorentina (3-0). Despite the heavy defeat in the reverse fixture earlier this season, the Bianconeri have shown they are capable of competing with the league’s top sides. Striker Davis returns from suspension, while Buksa is back from injury. Zemura and Zanoli remain unavailable.
“We may have less pressure than some others, but we’re still highly motivated. We want to collect as many points as possible in this final stretch,” said coach Runjaić. “We’re stress-free but not carefree. They’re a top team, able to change systems and players but always maintain great quality, even from the bench.”
