Adam Baallal has signed his first professional contract with AS Saint-Étienne until 2029, Le Progres reports.
The 19-year-old arrived in the Forez in January from Morocco, having come through Académie Mohammed VI and Union Touarga Sport. He has 13 appearances for Morocco across the U16 to U20 age groups.
This summer he progressed from the reserves to the first-team group under Ian Cathro. He then scored twice in friendlies against Lausanne and Venezia.
He also featured against Sochaux and Clermont, and now aims to establish himself in the Saint-Étienne squad.
Baallal said signing for ASSE brings great pride and that his focus is to work hard to earn more minutes in the shirt. Sporting director Loïc Perrin praised his very good preparation and excellent attitude, and said maintaining those levels will be key to his progress in the Forez.
