Adam Karabec (22) is not expected to remain at Olympique Lyonnais beyond the end of his loan spell, according to a report from L’Équipe.
Karabec was one of two Czech players to arrive at Lyon last summer, alongside Pavel Sulc. But unlike Sulc, Karabec has failed to play a large role under Paulo Fonseca. Despite playing 34 games in all competitions, he has made just 11 starts in Ligue. In all competitions, he has three goals and three assists.
His loan from Slavia Prague included a buy option, but L’Équipe understands that it is unlikely that it will be triggered. Rachid Ghezzal, who returned to OL on a short-term deal earlier in the season, is also unlikely to see his stay at the club extended. As planned, Endrick will leave, too, at the end of the season, returning to parent club Real Madrid.
Those departures should afford game time to Kail Boudache, who is expected to join from OGC Nice in the summer.
