After Troyes opted not to retain him from their National three reserves in spring 2025, Le Mans midfielder Adil Bourabaa has burst into the top flight barely a year on.

According to L'Équipe, he has two goals and two assists from four matchdays, as the division gets to know him game by game.

Little more than a year earlier he had completed a sparse campaign with Estac's reserves, restricted to six consecutive outings between 2 November 2024 and 11 January 2025.

That added up to just 493 minutes, and by the end of 2024-2025 his route pointed towards the exit.

He was left without a club, and youth coach Denis Diaz, who had known him since childhood, contacted former Beauvais assistant Murtala Sacko.

His ascent has resembled a rocket cutting through the tiers of French football.
