AEK had to wait until the final moments. Held by the Greens deep into added time, Joao Mario struck at 90+3 to settle it.

The draw in the concurrent fixture left AEK eight points clear with two matches remaining, making the championship unassailable.

It is the 14th national title in the club’s history. The captain is Harold Moukoudi, formerly of Le Havre and Saint-Étienne.

The triumph also returns AEK to Champions League qualifying next season, a competition they have not contested since 2018-19.
