Yesterday, Krépin Diatta broke his silence to address the mysterious health issue that struck him ahead of the AFCON 2025 final. After the AS Monaco player spoke out, another member of the Senegalese Football Federation stepped forward on the subject. This time it was Bacary Cissé, president of the FSF Communication Commission. Interviewed by TFM, he was direct.

"I called Sadio Mané, and he explained to me that Krépin Diatta had suffered a health scare and was taken to hospital. We later found out he had been replaced in the starting lineup. As the players were warming up, just three minutes later, I saw Ousseynou Niang having a similar episode. Mayacine told me he was showing the same symptoms as Krépin Diatta. Krépin was sitting in a wheelchair, seemingly losing control of his tongue. It was truly disastrous. He was then rushed to hospital. Pape Matar Sarr, who had warmed up before halftime, also collapsed in the dressing room during the break. He showed the same symptoms as Krépin and Ousseynou. It was tough for Krépin, and for Pape Matar and Ousseynou, it seemed even more serious. It was all really very strange," he revealed.
