Olympique Lyonnais beat Rennes 4-2 on Sunday and strengthened their push for Europe. According to L'Équipe, they were the weekend's standout side on ratings and have three players in the Ligue one matchday 32 team. The result moves them closer to a first Champions League qualification since 2020.

Abner Vinicius shone and was applauded off at 90 minutes at Groupama Stadium, having set up Afonso Moreira at 52 minutes. Corentin Tolisso was decisive three times, crossing for Iaremtchouk's header at 37 minutes, converting a penalty at 42, then supplying Endrick for Lyon's final goal at 75.

Rudy Matondo, 18, partners Tolisso in midfield after scoring twice for Paris FC in a 4-0 win over Brest, his first team-of-the-week appearance this season. Nantes also provide three first-time selections after beating Marseille 3-0, with the combative Frédéric Guilbert winning eight of nine duels, Ignatius Ganago scoring on 50 minutes and assisting Cabella on 54, and coach Vahid Halilhodzic recognised.

Auxerre are represented by Lassine Sinayoko, who scored on 67 minutes and set up Sékou Mara, whose brace underpinned a 3-1 win over Angers on Sunday.

Le Havre contribute goalkeeper Mory Diaw, who made multiple saves to secure a 1-1 draw with Lille, and centre-back Gautier Lloris. He partners Paris FC captain Moustapha Mbow, who cut short Brest's attacks with six recoveries.
