Africa Cup of Nations 2025 Preview Morocco are the favourites to win AFCON 2025 on home soil after their stellar run to the semi-finals of 2022 World Cup.
However, they have not lifted the trophy since 1976, and it will be intriguing to see how they handle the weight of expectation.
Senegal, Algeria and Nigeria are among the other fancied teams, but they may find it difficult to compete with seven-time winners Egypt .
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has a point to prove after struggling for form at club level, and that factor makes Egypt a dangerous proposition.
Tunisia and Ivory Coast could also be dangerous, while Cameroon are worth keeping an eye on as they strive to win the tournament for the first time since 2017.
