On Wednesday night, it was Achraf Hakimi who claimed the 2025 African Ballon d'Or ahead of Mohamed Salah. Kylian Mbappé sent a special message to his friend.

Kylian Mbappé and Achraf Hakimi remain close friends despite now playing for different clubs. The Real Madrid forward took to Instagram to salute and congratulate Achraf Hakimi on winning the African Ballon d'Or on Wednesday night. “Love you bro. The king of Africa, congratulations my brother! A reward more than deserved!” wrote the Frenchman, followed by several Moroccan flags.

It's worth noting that ever since their time together at PSG, between 2021 and 2024, the two players have become inseparable, regularly spending time together whenever their schedules allow.
