After conquering the CAF Champions League for the first time in their history in 2025, Pyramids are hungry to keep their momentum going by adding their name to the roll of honour of the African Super Cup. The Egyptian side has never before claimed this prestigious trophy.

Their opponents in the final, RS Berkane, have already tasted glory in 2022, defeating Wydad Casablanca 2-0 in an all-Moroccan showdown at Rabat's Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

Before Pyramids, 17 different teams have had the honour of etching their names in gold in this prestigious competition's history, including two Egyptian clubs: Al Ahly (8) and Zamalek (5).

A third Egyptian club reached the final in 1997, Al Moqaouloun al-Arab, but fell to Zamalek after a goalless draw and a 4-2 defeat on penalties.

The list of 17 winners is as follows: Al Ahly SC (Egypt), Zamalek SC (Egypt), TP Mazembe (DR Congo), ES Sahel (Tunisia), Raja CA (Morocco), Enyimba FC (Nigeria), ES Tunis (Tunisia), Wydad AC (Morocco), Africa Sports (Ivory Coast), Hearts of Oak (Ghana), RS Berkane (Morocco), Orlando Pirates (South Africa), ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast), Maghreb AS (Morocco), ES Sétif (Algeria), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), USM Alger (Algeria).

If the Moroccans win, the number of different winners will remain at 17. But should the New Cairo-based club triumph in this Egyptian-Moroccan final, a new name will be added to the illustrious list.
