The president of São Paulo, Harry Massis, visited the CFA Laudo Natel in Cotia on Thursday afternoon (5th). Invited by director José Roberto Canassa, Massis took part in meetings to discuss various matters related to the youth training center, as well as closely observing the modernizations already carried out at the complex.
“Today it was a pleasure to be here in Cotia, seeing this wonderful place. It gets more beautiful every day. With this entire team that welcomed us, it keeps getting better. We saw many improvements that have been made and that most of the board members and fans are not aware of. In my opinion, this training center is the best in Brazil. There’s nothing like it anywhere else when it comes to youth development. From the various fields to a wonderful physiotherapy area, a fully equipped and modern gym, and a fantastic hotel. We had a very productive meeting,” stated the president.
As the organizer of the meeting, Canassa led the session, which also included the presence of deputy director José Innocêncio; the executive director of the youth academy, Marcos Biasotto; the administrative manager of the CFA, Sérgio Rocha; the manager of MorumBIS stadium, Mauro Castro; the executive director of infrastructure, Eduardo Rebouças Monteiro; and the executive director of marketing, Eduardo Toni.
In addition to the meeting, the agenda included a complete tour of the complex. For about an hour and a half, the group toured the CFA facilities, learning about the improvements made in recent years and discussing possible new investments for the development of the structure.
Canassa highlighted the importance of the visit and emphasized the board’s willingness to seek resources to further enhance the training center.
“The president is very welcome here in Cotia, so he can see up close what our ‘golden goose’ is. He saw every part, and I was impressed by his willingness to invest in the CFA. We will have other meetings about investments, with the marketing department actively involved, so that we can secure resources for the necessary renovations through sponsorships, without dipping into the club’s coffers,” he said.
“This is a difficult year because we have club elections, and we want to hand over to the new president something much better than what is here: with reduced expenses, ongoing investments, and renovations underway. We will try to deliver, to whoever is fortunate enough to be elected after Massis, a much better club than the one we took over,” Canassa added.
The executive director of the youth academy, Marcos Biasotto, also emphasized the relevance of the president’s presence in the daily life of the CFA and the positive impact of this contact with the structure and professionals on site.
“It helps a lot. It’s always good to have the president keeping an eye and following the games, but it’s essential that he is with us, giving that extra motivation for us to do our best. Today was a guided visit of almost an hour and a half, during which he asked about everything: what we need and what our requirements are. It’s important for him to be close and for our communication to be good, with integration among all sectors, so that São Paulo’s future is increasingly bright. The jewels of São Paulo are here. May he come more often, because our great secret is to develop players and strengthen professional football,” he said.
Sérgio Rocha, manager of the CFA Laudo Natel, highlighted that the visit was also an opportunity to present in detail the improvements made and discuss the next steps for the evolution of the complex.
“It was an important visit so that we could show what the CFA is. We managed to present all the innovations that have taken place and those the center continues to undergo. The CFA improves every day. We presented some projects and had the presence of a technical team to outline short and medium-term planning. Everything is within an excellent standard,” he concluded.
