Alan Varela is once again among the options for Francesco Farioli, after serving a suspension in the match against Arouca. Given the strong performances he had been showing in recent games, everything indicates that the 24-year-old midfielder will regain his place in the starting eleven at Alvalade, leaving Pablo Rosario on the bench.

After a less impressive period, the Argentine had a very positive February, with performances that recalled his best moments in an FC Porto shirt. Varela started in five consecutive matches—four of them playing the full 90 minutes—and only stopped to regularize his disciplinary situation in the league before the upcoming classic at Luz.
