The agent of Dinamo Zagreb star Moris Valincic confirmed his client could continue his career in Serie A amid mounting interest from Inter Milan.
Speaking to Croatian outlet Jutarnji List via FCInterNews, Adrian Aliaj discussed the right-back’s potential move to Italy’s top flight.
Moris Valincic emerged as a potential target for the Nerazzurri in the January transfer window.
However, after signing Leon Jakirovic from Dinamo Zagreb, Inter’s interest in the 23-year-old waned slightly.
Still, the runaway Serie A leaders remain in the market for a new right-back as Denzel Dumfries faces an uncertain future at San Siro.
Although Marco Palestra remains the club’s top target, his massive €40 million price tag could represent a significant obstacle.
Therefore, Cristian Chivu’s men continue to explore alternative options, with Valincic sitting high on Beppe Marotta’s shortlist.
Despite Inter’s growing interest, several other top Serie A teams are also keen on the Croatian defender.
Indeed, AC Milan, Napoli, Lazio, Roma, and Bologna are all keeping close tabs on the Dinamo Zagreb star.
“We believe Moris should leave Dinamo in the summer, and we consider that a fairly realistic prospect,” Aliaj said. “Dinamo did not manage his return well because he was not ready either physically or mentally.
“Therefore, he alternated good performances with disappointing ones before eventually ending up on the bench.
“Moris is a player who stood out in the autumn, showing huge potential, so I expected a club of Dinamo’s size to prepare his return more carefully.
“All the Italian giants have lined up to sign him. We do not hide the fact that we see Italy as the next step in his career. All these clubs have watched him play in many matches.
‘They have seen what he can do, and their perception of Moris has remained the same and very similar even today. He is now 23, and in our view, he is ready for the next step; he needs it.
“He is a player with strong physical attributes and enormous energy, so it makes sense for him to go to a club and a league where he will get even greater motivation to further develop his abilities.
“When Italian giants such as Napoli, Roma, Bologna, Lazio, or Milan see you as a player who could strengthen their squad, €15 million is an absolutely realistic figure at that level.
“That was his value last autumn, and we want to maintain it. Given the interest that exists, it is realistic to think that both Moris and Dinamo will receive an offer that works for all parties.
“However, if Dinamo are not satisfied, Valincic will stay at Maksimir without any problems and continue as he has done so far. Very simple.”
