Luis Diaz is heading into the new season with FC Bayern with big goals. The Colombian not only wants to impress on a personal level, but also to win as many titles as possible with the Munich team.
Anticipation for the new season is building at FC Bayern. On Monday, the first-team players made an appearance at the Allianz FC Bayern Team Day on campus in front of more than 2,000 fans. In addition to a public training session, the event focused on connecting with the fans and getting everyone in the right mindset for the challenges ahead.
Luis Diaz used the fan event to outline his personal goals for the new season. The attacking star has set his sights high and, following his first season in Munich, wants to have an even greater impact on Bayern’s play.
“I want to score a lot of goals and provide a lot of assists. The goal, of course, is to win as many titles as possible. I’m looking forward to special moments with the fans,” Diaz explained.
With that, the Colombian has set a clear goal for himself. The 29-year-old is expected to once again play a key role in Vincent Kompany’s offense and, in addition to scoring goals himself, regularly set up his teammates.
Diaz and his teammates don’t have much time left before their first major challenges. FC Bayern’s final preseason friendly is already scheduled for Tuesday. At 6 p.m., the German record champions will face 1. FC Heidenheim on the road.
The match is primarily intended to provide additional playing time for those players who joined preseason training later, following the World Cup. Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Dayot Upamecano took part in their first training session with the team on Monday during “Team Day.”

The first major highlight is already on the horizon. On Saturday evening, Bayern will face Borussia Dortmund in the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup. At Signal Iduna Park, the team will compete for the first title of the new season even before the Bundesliga kicks off.
Just six days later, the Bundesliga season kicks off. On Friday, August 28, Kompany’s team will host VfB Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena.
