Pélissier cools speculation around Sinayoko, but remains clear-eyed about transfer window uncertainties
AJ Auxerre: Christophe Pélissier does not want to lose Lassine Sinayoko
Christophe Pélissier, head coach of AJ Auxerre, has moved to clarify the situation surrounding Lassine Sinayoko, who has been at the center of several transfer rumors. Speaking as a guest on a sports show, the French manager firmly denied any tension between the club and its Malian forward.
"Since the start of preseason, I've been speaking regularly with Lassine. We spoke again on Tuesday morning after seeing certain things circulating. I can state it clearly: he has never intended to force a move away. He trains with commitment and professionalism, and he will be available for the match against Nice on Saturday," he said.
Despite this public backing, Pélissier remains cautious about the player's future. He acknowledges that the economic realities of football can influence decisions:
"Can we guarantee he'll stay all season? No. Of course I'd like him to stay, but there are factors beyond our control. What hurt both of us was seeing him depicted as a player ready to take steps he never even considered. His behavior has been exemplary, and he deserves recognition for that."
With the transfer window in full swing, AJA hopes to keep hold of their forward, whose commitment and professionalism are beyond question. But, as is often the case in football, nothing is ever set in stone.
