Ivorian international Clément Akpa has caught the attention of AS Monaco.

With injuries piling up and individual mistakes plaguing their backline, AS Monaco is on the hunt for reinforcements. According to Foot Mercato, the principality club has opened negotiations with AJ Auxerre in an attempt to sign central defender Clément Akpa.
However, AJ Auxerre has declined for the simple reason that they currently have no way to replace their player. The Ivorian defender recently extended his contract through 2028. Barring any surprises, Monaco is expected to make another push during the winter transfer window.
