Ajax beat Telstar 4-0 in Velsen-Zuid, moving from fifth to fourth in the Eredivisie after a clinical second half.
Davy Klaassen opened the scoring in the 37th minute, finishing from close range after Steven Berghuis's whipped cross following a corner.
Early after the restart, Marc-André ter Stegen denied Rui Mendes as Telstar chased a leveller. Berghuis then struck low on a fast break (56.), before teeing up Tolu Arokodare to thump in from range (60.).
Godenzonen introduced Marcos Leonardo (73.), and the Brazilian poacher added the fourth from close in (78.). It was his first goal for the Godenzonen since joining this season.
There was a brief stoppage when Marvin Peersman went off injured, with Emirhan Demircan replacing him (77.).
Godenzonen were ruthless, registering nine shots on target from 12 attempts and controlling 57.8% possession. Telstar mustered 11 attempts and forced ter Stegen into five saves.
Berghuis's two assists lift him to second in the Eredivisie assists chart with two this season.
Next, Godenzonen host PSV. Telstar host Cambuur.
