According to VoetbalPrimeur and the Algemeen Dagblad, Ajax’s coaching staff are seriously considering Brian Brobbey’s departure. The striker was assigned to the reserves by coach John Heitinga during the training camp in Zeist.
Ajax’s training session was open to the press on Thursday morning. During the final match, Johan Inan, an Ajax analyst for the AD newspaper, noticed that Heitinga had assigned Brobbey to the reserves.
According to the club observer, “things are still quiet” regarding the striker, who is aiming to leave Amsterdam this summer.
Voetbal International previously reported that Brobbey wants to leave Ajax this summer. The 23-year-old striker is attracting interest from abroad, but no club has yet officially approached him. Brobbey has since switched agents and hopes to make a move this summer. He previously rejected an offer from Italian club Como.
At the training camp in Zeist, many Ajax talents get the chance to show their skills to Heitinga. Sean Steur seems to be making an excellent impression on the coaching staff, as the young midfielder was, in turn, included in the starting lineup. “The staff sees a lot of potential in him,” reports suggest.
