Al Ahli complete Abdullah Radif signing after Al Ittihad withdrawal | OneFootball

Al Ahli have completed the signing of former Al Hilal striker Abdullah Radif in the summer window after neighbours Al Ittihad withdrew from a move.

Asharq Al-Awsat reports that Al Ahli have agreed a four-year contract running until 2030. Radif had previously accepted a three-year Al Ittihad deal worth 27 million riyals, nine million per season, before the club pulled out, lacking the liquidity to complete the transfer.

Al Hilal announced in July that Radif had left permanently, five years after his promotion to the first team. During that period he was loaned to Al-Taawoun, Al-Shabab, Al-Ettifaq and Al-Fayha.

At Al Ahli, the 23-year-old is expected to serve as third-choice striker, competing with Brazilian Ricardo Matias, behind England's Ivan Toney and Saudi Arabia's Firas Al-Buraikan.

Radif is the sixth signing of Al Ahli's summer, following Gambian Aboubacar Sidy Kanté, Portuguese Francisco Trincão, Armenian Eduard Spertsyan, and Saudis Meshaal Al-Mutairi and Nayef Masoud.

His most recent spell came at Al-Fayha in the second half of last season, when he featured in eight matches. He did not score but supplied two assists.
