Al Ahly have rejected a 4.5 million dollars proposal from Turkish club Konyaspor for Ashour. The club said in a statement that they had written back to confirm he is not for sale this season.
Konyaspor’s bid was structured to be paid over three years. Al Ahly added they would be open to cooperation in future windows. Ashour is under contract until summer 2028.
The interest followed his standout displays for Egypt at the 2026 World Cup, where he scored twice, a powerful strike against Belgium and a header against Australia.
Konyaspor opened their league campaign with a 1-0 defeat at Rizespor.
He has also been linked with Ittihad Jeddah and Celtic.
Ashour joined Al Ahly in summer 2023 from Danish side Midtjylland after spells with Ghazl El Mahalla and Zamalek. He has made 105 appearances across all competitions, scoring 32 goals and providing 25 assists.
His honours include two Egyptian Premier League titles, the Egypt Cup, two Egyptian Super Cups, the Three Continents Cup and the CAF Champions League, plus a bronze medal at the Club World Cup.
