Mohammed Al-Deayea has launched a fierce critique of Simone Inzaghi’s decisions since taking charge of Al-Hilal, questioning the Italian’s selections and direction. According to Goal.com, the club great doubts whether the coach is leading the side as it needs.

Speaking on the programme Doreena Ghair, Al-Deayea said: “Inzaghi’s choices have all been wrong since he took on the technical role at Al-Hilal. I don’t know how he chooses or manages things.” He said there are lingering doubts over both selection and game reading.

He focused on the defence, arguing the back line has been struggling and should have been prioritised. In his view, energy was misplaced on chasing attacking additions rather than repairing structural issues at the back.

He then highlighted the handling of Karim Benzema, saying the situation only adds to concerns around Inzaghi’s management since the striker’s arrival.

Al-Deayea also cited French goalkeeper Patouillet’s departure, despite being a player he says Inzaghi requested, as evidence of muddled squad planning. His verdict was blunt: “I am not convinced of his presence.” The remarks come despite Al-Hilal’s strong start in the results column.
