Al-Hilal look set to end the summer without the specialist right winger Simone Inzaghi wanted, plans now pushed back. According to Goal.com, financial and technical hurdles stalled the pursuit.

Inzaghi does have options out wide. Malcom can operate on the right, although his future remains uncertain amid speculation over a possible exit before the window shuts, Sultan Mandash plays either side, Summerville can switch across, and prospect Simon Bouabre is pushing for minutes.

Numbers were not the problem, the coach wanted a specialist to add fresh solutions. That aim remains, albeit delayed.
