Arriyadiyah reports that Al Hilal are planning a surprise for Al Ahli in next Tuesday’s Roshn League Clasico at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, centred on England striker Ollie Watkins.

The Saudi Pro League has reshuffled Al Hilal’s next two fixtures due to Al Ahli’s preparation to play the Auckland match in the FIFA Club World Cup opener on Wednesday.

Al Hilal will face Al Khaleej in the fourth round on Friday, then meet Al Ahli in the third-round game on the first of September.

The report says Simone Inzaghi has devised a dedicated programme for Watkins, with the 30-year-old due to arrive in Riyadh by private jet on Friday evening and be added to the squad.

On Wednesday, Fabrizio Romano said on X that Al Hilal had reached agreement on all details to sign Watkins. He added that Aston Villa had accepted a final offer worth 58.4 million euros plus 2 million euros in add-ons and that the player would travel to Saudi Arabia this week.

Al Hilal are aiming to have Watkins available for the Clasico, subject to his arrival and final formalities.
