Al Hilal stepped up their Austrian training camp under Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, showcasing resistance-parachute drills as they build towards 2026-2027.
Images from Saturday morning’s session were shared on the club’s X account days before the camp concludes. According to Goal.com, several players ran with parachutes strapped to their backs.
The resistance parachutes attach to the body and inflate as players accelerate, increasing drag with every stride. The drills aim to sharpen sprint power, improve mechanics and strengthen leg and thigh muscles while nudging top speed higher.
Coaches often prefer them to weights because the faster a player runs, the more air the chute catches, so the load rises automatically. It is a simple, self-regulating tool that requires no manual adjustments.
Al Hilal face Qatar’s Al-Ahli on Monday, the fourth and final friendly of their Austrian stay before the new campaign. They have won two of three games, beating Sturm Graz 2-1 and Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0, before losing 2-0 to MC Alger.
