Al-Nassr are set to lose home advantage for December’s Riyadh derby against Al-Hilal, with the fixture planned to be switched to King Fahd Sports City Stadium for 2027 AFC Asian Cup preparations.

According to Arriyadiyah, the Ministry of Sport asked the Roshn League to stage the game at King Fahd to test operational readiness, covering the pitch, lighting, screens, fan entry and exit, and crowd management.

The derby had been scheduled for 11 December at Al-Awwal Park in the 17th round of the Saudi Roshn League.

King Fahd Sports City Stadium is set to host four Asian Cup matches in Saudi Arabia early next year, including the final.

The league will contact Al-Nassr to arrange the switch while keeping their home-team privileges in place.

The 2027 AFC Asian Cup runs in Saudi Arabia from 7 January until 5 February next year, with 24 national teams taking part.
