Alan converts VAR penalty as Moreirense climb to seventh

Casa Pia and Moreirense drew 1-1 in Rio Maior on Sunday, a result that lifts the visitors from eighth to seventh in Liga Portugal.

In the first minute Casa Pia won a penalty after Maracás fouled Cassiano. André Ferreira saved Cassiano's effort from the spot (3.).

Gaizka Larrazabal then delivered a fine cross for Cassiano to steer into the bottom left (40.).

After the restart a handball by Abdu Conté was penalised. VAR confirmed the spot kick, and Alan tucked away the equaliser (62.).

Patrick Sequeira tipped over Afonso Assis's header in the third minute of second half stoppage time to preserve the point.

Moreirense controlled the ball with 63.6% possession and registered 12 attempts. Casa Pia produced seven attempts.
