Barcelona won 2-1 at Albacete in the Copa del Rey quarter-final on Tuesday evening.
Marcus Rashford missed an early chance to put Barcelona ahead, but he had a hand in the opening goal in the 39th minute.
Rashford recovered possession and found Frenkie de Jong. The Dutchman picked out Lamine Yamal, who slotted home with a one-time finish.
Barcelona doubled their lead in the 56th minute, with captain Ronald Araujo powering Rashford’s corner past Raul Lizoain.
Rashford has now become the third La Liga player to register double figures in goals (10) and assists (10) across all competitions this season, after Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez.
Lizoain made a great save to deny Ferran Torres from extending Barcelona’s lead before Jefte Betancor squandered a big chance for the hosts.
Javi Moreno made it 2-1 in the 87th minute, heading a free-kick beyond Joan Garcia’s reach.
Torres thought he had sealed the victory on the stroke of full-time with a tap-in from close range, but his effort was ruled offside.
Fran Gamez almost completed the comeback for Albacet in stoppage, but Gerard Martin produced a goalline clearance to seal progression to the semi-final.
