Albion’s Second Tier Season Comparison – 11 games

Article image:Albion’s Second Tier Season Comparison – 11 games

It was another disappointing outcome for the Baggies after a promising opening half hour, but the 18-year-wait for a victory at Vicarage Road goes on. Albion’s last win there was a comfortable 3-0 victory under Tony Mowbray back in September 2007.

It leaves Ryan Mason’s team in 10th place although it is very congested below the top two – the Baggies are just three points behind Millwall who sit in third spot. In 2007/08, that campaign when Albion last won at Watford, they had the same record of five wins and 17 points from their opening 11 games, and went on to win the Championship. Then again, in 2021, Albion sat top of the table with 22 points from 11 games, and finished 10th.
