Spain World Cup call-up Alejandro Grimaldo is on the market after Bayer Leverkusen set an asking price, a situation that could put him on Flamengo’s radar ahead of the next transfer window.
According to Coluna Do Fla, Leverkusen want 15 million euros, about R$ 88.9 million, for the 30-year-old and are prepared to hear offers.
Grimaldo has been among the most productive full-backs in recent seasons, with 30 goals and 41 assists across three years at Leverkusen. He is contracted to the club until June 2027, and the World Cup begins on Thursday 11.
Flamengo are mapping the market for a left-back. Alex Sandro is currently first choice, with Ayrton Lucas as back-up. Matías Viña is on loan at River Plate until the end of the year.
In recent weeks Flamengo submitted a bid to Cruzeiro for left-back Kaiki, who has been called up by Brazil. The Minas Gerais club rejected the proposal.
