Group five of Segunda Federación side Intercity confirmed on Monday, the final day of the winter window, that 22-year-old midfielder Álex Gil had left after agreeing a mutual contract termination.
Gil joined in summer 2024 and across a season and a half made twelve appearances, six of them starts, totalling 447 minutes.
A graduate of the Leganés academy, the Ávila-born midfielder suffered a right-knee cruciate ligament rupture in November 2024, which kept him out for almost all of last season.
That long-term setback shaped his spell in Alicante, a period in which Intercity were relegated and worked under six coaches in the last 16 months.
After leaving Intercity, he has signed for Marbella as a free agent.
