Alexander Isak insists he has no regrets over joining Liverpool, calling the switch an easy decision despite a difficult debut year.

"No, never. I would never think like that. [Liverpool] is a massive club, and everything about the club made it pretty clear. And the club's ambition and the club's will to get me in as well. It was a big part of it," he told BBC Sport's The Football Interview.

The 26-year-old missed Newcastle's entire pre-season amid intense speculation, training with former side Real Sociedad and saying promises at St James' Park had been "broken". He then completed a British-record £125 million move on deadline day in September 2025.

His first months on Merseyside were uneven, bringing just three league goals before a leg break in December ruled him out until April. "[The leg break] was tough. Anyone who had a long injury would know. But on the other hand, when you're in a good place and when you feel good, you don't really tend to look back because it doesn't really benefit you."

Now fully fit, Isak has three goals in four Premier League matches this season, matching his league return from last term.
