It's been a long time coming for Swedish star Alexander Isak, but Liverpool's leading man up front is finding his shooting boots in 2026/27.
In what was billed as a move meant to push the Reds to new heights when he arrived from Newcastle United at the start of the 2025/26 season, Isak's first year at Anfield will go down as one to forget for the Stockholm-born hitman.
Now fit and fresh, and under new management in the vein of Andoni Iraola, the 26-year-old is rediscovering what once made him one of the most coveted centre-forwards in Europe: lethality.
Thus far across the early doors of the current Premier League season, Isak has already eclipsed his goals total from last season, scoring his fourth of the current campaign to put Liverpool one-nil up at Bournemouth.
While it may be only a fraction of the total amount compared to his goalscoring ways on Tyneside across his three incredible seasons at St. James' Park, a fit and firing Isak is still to be feared, and it's certainly something Liverpool fans will be pulling for this season.
