Alexander Isak will become a Liverpool player on Monday, after a transfer was agreed with the Newcastle United owners.

The striking striker will have his medical today and then complete the deal.

Newcastle United will bank £130m.

‘Newcastle United have agreed a British record £130m deal with Liverpool for striker Alexander Isak.

The Sweden international is due to travel to Merseyside on Monday for a medical but a full agreement is now in place to conclude the transfer saga of the summer.

Telegraph Sport revealed that majority stakeholders Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund were, for the first time, willing to cash in on their star player as long as the money was good enough.

The talks, which had been conducted amicably between PIF and Liverpool’s owners over the weekend, have led to the reigning Premier League champions agreeing to Newcastle’s demands.’
