Alexis Sánchez joins Sevilla FC
At 36, Alexis Sánchez makes his grand return to La Liga. The Chilean striker, a legend of South American football, has signed with Sevilla FC on the final day of the transfer window.
Released by Udinese, Sánchez has penned a one-year contract with the Andalusian club, which managed this move thanks to the sales of Badé, Idumbo, and Lukebakio. The sporting management, led by Antonio Cordón, hopes his vast experience will be an asset during a challenging period for the club.
With over 900 matches and 250 goals to his name, the former River Plate, Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester United, Inter, and Marseille player struggled last season (14 appearances, no goals). But Matías Almeyda believes in his resurgence and plans to integrate him into an attack featuring Akor Adams and Isaac Romero.
