Algeria 3-1 Zimbabwe: Marinica makes a rather surprising admission

“Algeria is a very deep squad,” admits Marian Mario Marinica
Following Zimbabwe's defeat to Algeria (1-3), coach Marian Mario Marinica made no excuses. In the mixed zone, the head coach openly acknowledged the Greens’ clear superiority, praising a team that is “very well-drilled,” able to move the ball “with great speed,” and boasting “many options thanks to some very talented players.”
Impressed by Algeria’s collective strength, Marinica spelled out what stood out to him about his opponents: “The Algerian team has many very good players, who perform well both at home and abroad. Above all, the players themselves are excellent. They have a system that suits them.”
When asked to name the Fennec who impressed him most, the coach deliberately remained vague, dropping only a transparent hint: the player who scored a “fantastic goal” truly caught his eye. It was a subtle way to acknowledge the individual brilliance that swung the match, without singling out anyone for his own team’s defeat.
