Alioune Ndoye to miss Benfica trip as appeal rejected | OneFootball

Alioune Ndoye will miss Vitória de Guimarães’ trip to Benfica and the Taça de Portugal tie with Lamelas after losing his appeal. Benfica could also be without a key player.

According to Glorioso 1904, the Portuguese Football Federation’s disciplinary council rejected the Senegalese forward’s appeal, upholding a three-match suspension and a €3,902 fine issued on 17 September.

The punishment followed an aggression against Mestanza during the sixth round of Liga Portugal Betclic at Fontelo against Académico de Viseu. Ndoye has already served one game in matchday seven against Moreirense.

He is also managing fitness issues and remains with the medical department. As a result, he will not feature in Vitória’s friendlies during the break against Amarante and Fafe.

The 24-year-old has made six appearances under Tiago Margarido this season, scoring once in the 3-2 defeat at Sporting in matchday two at Alvalade.
