Jakub Kaminski has begun rehabilitation at Seixal after an adductor issue, leaving his involvement in Benfica’s home game against Vitória de Guimarães on 11 October in doubt.

The 24-year-old, who has drawn interest from the Bundesliga, was forced off in the 25th minute of Poland’s goalless draw with Bosnia and Herzegovina. He later told TVP Sport he had felt an adductor problem and preferred not to take risks by staying on.

He initially thought he might recover in time for Poland’s next fixture and remained with the squad before being released to return early to Benfica.

The winger has started treatment and recovery work, while club medical staff continue to assess the extent of the injury.

Any decision on using Kaminski against Vitória will depend on how he responds over the coming days.
